Not Your Average Jane

So I had a couple of really good blogs written in my head in the last week or so but because I’ve been without internet or a computer at home for the most part I think they’re lost… Though I know of a really good one I wrote mentally I still remember so I’ll write it later….

This has soooo been the week of the unattainable guy… Or at least the semi unattainable maybe some other time kinda guy… Whatever, it all boils down to I can’t have em for one reason or the other right now. Lets see Sunday started out with an acoustic show and a guy I’ve had a thing for on and since I first saw him/met him a few years ago. Then Monday I find out theres a thing going on in Corpus I want to go to next week which in an odd way let to a chain of unattainables… Ok, so its not a chain so much as 3 guys…. All of whom I’ve also formerly had a thing for… And then there was last night… Seems like every guy I wanted to hook up with either had a ring on the right left hand or a girlfriend. And then theres the one I haven’t seen in weeks but seem to talk to every couple of days… Dammit.

So lets see whats gone on lately… Tuesday went to the Tavern… Much fun was had… Wednesday I did laundry most of the day… And almost missed the fireworks… Thursday went to Kays for the first time in monthes… And went to the Honeybrowne show Friday… On my way home saw a coyote running across Memorial right after the loop (ie in Memorial Park)… I had to text a bunch of people at like 130 in the morning just to tell them this… lol…

Saturday… Didn’t do much… Hung with Sean…. Saw the sunrise on Sunday morning… Went to breakfast at McDonalds…. I actually had one of those huge breakfast platters which I NEVER do… I don’t know why I was so hungry… And why it tasted so good…

Most of Sunday afternoon was spent sleeping… And then Sunday night was a Braun Brothers acoustic thing at the Armadillo Palace….

Monday was work… Tuesday…. Work…. And went to the Tavern… Also talked to my baby girl whom I haven’t talked to in goodness knows how long…. Found out a mutual friend is going through a divorce… Ouch. And I think I’ve already mentioned about the guys at the Tavern last night…. A few barely looked old enough to be there, and the rest were either married, had girlfriends or didn’t interest me…

And today (Wednesday) I get to work late… Whoo hoo… But at least I got to sleep later than usual this morning… And I did get to see Daniel Radcliffe (ie Harry Potter) on Regis and Kelly… Tonight Drew Kennedy’s playing at the Armadillo Palace but I don’t think I’m going because I’ve got a lot of other stuff to do… And he starts at 8…. If it was later I might could go for a bit but I have got to get stuff done…

So yeah I fibbed a bit and I got 2 days off next week so I can go to Corpus… Which is one reason I have so much to do…. Lol… Its been a while since I’ve been out of town and I want to have all my ducks in a row… Maggie has a place to stay (though Sean says we could take her with us and leave her at his moms, I don’t want to take the chance or worry about her while we’re out…. I just need to clean house, finish putting away my laundry and a zillion other little details before we leave…

And I’ve also started to look into my Hawaiian vacation… I know its kind of early but I want to get an idea on prices and whats available… I know what I want to do its just a matter of finding the right package to go with it… (A few days on Oahu and a couple of days on the Big Island is all I want to do for now… I’ve already seen parts of Kauai, most of Maui and a little bit of Oahu so I want to spend more time in Oahu this time around and go to the Big Island to hit up Hilo and Kona and see the volcano there….) I’m not really sure what activities or if anyone’s going with me I’m doing yet but I know what attractions I want to see and where I want to spend most of my time… So pretty much I think I’m going to start saving a bit of money every paycheck and after the new year look into it more in depth… Right now I only have the vague idea of going sometime in March or April… And ideas of what I want to do and see… No idea beyond that of what it’ll cost, where I’ll stay (though I’m thinking I’m going to do packages with hotel plus air fare so it should be okay) and that sort of thing… I just really want to go again… And now that I have the means for an honest to God vacation for the first time in a very long time I plan on taking it and enjoying for all I’m worth….

Other than that not too much is going on with me…

Wow I'd almost forgotten that this blog existed.....

So much has happened since the last time I posted... Heck its been like 7 monthes since I last posted.... Of course a lot has happened....

The main thing being I found a job... Full time, permanent with benefits with a great location and I dig the people I work with (but I'm not ever likely to run into any of them any of the places I go socially), the hours are amazing great, and the money is more than I was making as a receptionist.... And I don't have to answer phones... Whoo hoo!!!!

Plus they like to feed me too... Thats always nice....

I've been on staff now officially for about a week.... And its wondermous.... I'm salaried and I no longer have to worry about how many hours I work, or what my pay will be and I'm not stressing about bills or anything anymore.... Its amazingly incredible.....

So far the only down side I can see is that I can't access my email or myspace from work....

Which since my computer crash almost 2 weeks ago is kind of important...


Thats another biggie thats happened to me... My old faithful computer crashed on me after like 8 years.... and I got a new one.... It hasn't come in yet but I ordered a 17 inch hot pink laptop from dell and it has EVERYTHING I need on it.... Which is awesome... and I didn't have to pay for it.... Which is even more awesome....

BUT it won't be in at the earliest til the end of this week/beginning of next week, so I'm stuck doing the stuff I can't do at work at the local FedEx/Kinkos... Where they have computers with internet you can use for 20 cents a minute....

Lets see other big stuff.... I also had my 10 year reunion... That was an interesting weekend... Ended up emailing back and forth with a guy I knew since I was like 5 but hadn't seen in years.... And caught up with a girlfriend whom I haven't seen since December... And we've sworn to keep in better touch now... (though she didn't go to the reunion so I can't really credit it with reuniting us or anything...) There were so many people there I didn't recognize... Some hotties... One couple even brought their infant in with them.... And a lot of folks are married, in law or med school with kids.... And I don't even remember going to school with half of them.... Ah well....

Anyway I have to get back to work but I'm going to try to be better with this blog than I have been... We'll see how that turns out once I get internet back at my house..... lol...
