Not Your Average Jane

Man, what a night I had last night… I can honestly say that, I have never experienced anything so crazy before… Not even with the Marines I used to hang out with… And that’s saying something… So what did I do that was so insane? Well I went to the Firehouse for the 2nd night in a row, nothing out of the blue there… I met up with Richelle and had a few drinks and listened to Ryan Turner… Still nothing unusual there… We’re sitting around talking and laughing and this group of guys (about 8 or so) we’ve been checking out, asks us to take some pictures of them as a group… Not a prob at all… Somehow we get invited into their group… I’m not complaining AT ALL… There was Justin, Jason, Cory, Phil, Carlos, Bill, one guy they called Tennessee (guess where he was from? Lol…) and a few others I can’t remember the names of right now…. As it turns out they were all firefighters… Richelle and I hear this and she’s on the floor she’s laughing so hard… And we’re both like we hit the motherlode… After all the talking and joking about firemen we’ve been doing in the last couple of weeks, to be absorbed into a group that big with me and Richelle as the only girls was ironic and awesome all at the same time… And they all wanted to constantly smell me because of my body spray… Again I’m not complaining, I got a kick out of it… Hot guys want to get up close and personal, who am I to tell them no? So we’re all kind of talking as a group and then somehow Chelle kind of pairs up with Cory and I’m kind of paired up with Jason… Again no complaints. I won’t mention about when the Jack Daniels girls showed up and somehow everyone of us wound up with blinking Jack Daniels stickers in inappropriate places…. Good fun… Jason tells me he’d been thinking about buying me a drink and coming over earlier… I was like that’d have been nice… All nonchalant and stuff… Then Rob, this guy Chelle and I know from the Thursday night thing with Magee and Brett shows up… THAT’S when things got reallllly interesting… Boy howdy did they! So Jason has random periods where he goes off and does his own thing… No big, we’re not involved or anything… Jokingly every time before he went off, he’d be all like “Now don’t go cheating on me…” It was funny until Rob showed up and started getting all territorial male on me… I was like what the heck? I was just kinda standing there, doing my own thing and he’s like all up behind me trying to snuggle… Ok, so I like snuggling and I indulged him and I probably shouldn’t have… Ah well, we live and learn… So every time Jason comes back he kinda looks at me like what the hell? And all I can do is shrug helplessly. He tried to talk to me a couple of times but Rob sort of shouldered himself in between us, like he was staking his claim or something… I’m like chill out, dude, I’m my own damn person… I’d rather do Magee than you, sorry… Damn did I just say that? Yeah… All Rob does is sit around and like mope on Thursday nights, he doesn’t really talk to anyone… Magee, while not classically the most attractive of guys is funny and that serves to make him more attractive… At least to me… Maybe cuz he reminds me a bit of B… All scruffy and longhaired guitar player with a silly side… I also met a girl who knew my last ex and we traded notes on him for a little bit… I’m not as passionate about my disgust for him as I used to be I noticed… I’m almost indifferent to him… Kind of odd but nice at the same time… Anyway, so I get a call from Nay while I’m in the bathroom… He and Raul broke up again and he’s in tears all by himself… I come out of the bathroom and I go back by the pool table to talk to him some more… While I’m back there, Jason comes back there and he’s looking at me all puzzled… So I’m trying to calm Nay down, and reassure Jason at the same time… Nay was on his own so I offered to come over… I needed out of all the testosterone manly manness… I love guys but theres only so much machismo I can take in one night… Before I left the Firehouse however, Jason gave me his number… He’s like are you going to use it? I was all nonchalant and flirty when I replied, “I might..” He’s like why should I give it to you then? But he gave it to me eventually and I’m thinking I may use it… Lord knows I love a guy with tattoos and piercings and I love me some firefighter and I adore hot guys and he smelled amazing to boot… and he’s all of that… And I dig the fact he was very straight up with me. He acted like an ass but he apologized every time he did something ass-ish… Which I thought was nice… So on the way out I said goodbye to the firefighters and Rob and Chelle… Chelle tells me Rob’s got the hots for me and that he’s a really nice guy… And I need to make an instant decision about him… I guessed he did because of all the Neaderthalism but she confirmed it…. I got an offer to go home with one of the guys (Justin – one of the first ones I had checked out cuz of the UT hat and he was yet another hottie) on my way out that I just laughed it off… Then I forgot my coozie and had to come back in and get it and repeat all the goodbyes a lot faster than the first time… Get in the car, Hate Me comes on 96.5 and I turn that shit up and get all excited… Get to Nay’s a little while later and meet up with Sean and B in the parking lot, we go in and Nate’s watching the Notebook… We all looked at each other and quickly hussled him to the House of Pies… Its like our war room I swear…. Make us the U.S. government and I swear we’d solve all the worlds problems if we had a House of Pies in the White House… Anyway so we go back to Nay’s and I head home a little while later… I looked at the clock when I climbed into bed and it said 4:03 am… Good God… I haven’t been up that late in forever… I then wake up at 7 to my mom getting up and again at 9 to my text messages going off… I reply to Richelle’s text and she calls me back and fills me in on what happened after I left… It turns out the firefighters went wild (sounds like a good movie to me ;0) ) and Rob turns out to be a bit of a prick. She didn’t really expand on the firefighters but it turns out that Rob had hit on her after being all up over me, after I left. He got a ride home from her and admitted to her that he’d had a thing for both of us for a few weeks… Richelle was like but you never say much of anything to us and you were just hitting on Ali, now you’re hitting on me, what the heck? He defended himself by saying that I had hit on him! I’m surrounded by hot firefighters and I went out of my way to hit on lil old him… And he did this all in order to try to hook up with Richelle… What a lying ass… At least Jason was up front with me and knew when he was being an ass. Rob was one of those I thought I may give chance cuz sometimes you never know and Richelle had told me what a nice guy he was… Yeah not so much…
So Brandon Rhyder is playing at the Firehouse tonight and I think I might go… We’ll see… Oh… I almost forgot, but I think almost everyone knows already… I got a job! I had an interview Wednesday at an architecture firm off of Shepard and San Felipe. I thought it went great and the lady told me she really liked me but she had 2 other people to interview on Thursday and she’d call and let me know on Friday… So she called Friday and offered me the job of receptionist. I start Monday at 8 am and its full time with benefits after 3 months. Mom and I agreed if I still like it after 3 months and I’m off probation so that I can use their insurance then we’ll look for an apartment for me somewhere around here, since I like the area… So till at least April I’m living here it looks like… But almost every weekend in February either I’m out of town or she is, which should help keep the stress between us to a minimum… So yeah I’ve pretty much been out every night since Wednesday… Makes me debate whether to go out tonight or not, but I think regardless of what I say I’ll probably wind up going… I’m not the biggest Brandon Rhyder fan but I realllllly want to see if Wade shows up or not… :0) Or Josh or his brother… Anywho… I’m going to go eat lunch I think… Laters.
