Not Your Average Jane

I’m still kind of processing and trying to think how to express everything I feel and remember about Greenfest and the whole weekend in general so I’m going to hold off on writing about that till I get a better handle on what I want to write…
In the meantime… WORK!!!! So this is the beginning of my third week of work and I already have a conspiracy theory… There’s some very hush hush talk going on between the accounting department and the boss… I have no idea whats going on there but I do have a theory that I’m not going to share until I get a better feel for whats going on or decide its none of my bidness and leave it the heck alone… We’ll see what I decide…
Overall work is awesome… With the exception of the sorta long hours I pull (8 am to 5:30 pm with an hour for lunch). I am usually the first one there and the last one to leave which to me is just odd… But I’m getting used to the schedule and its all good… Though I am going to bed waaaay earlier these days… Like 11 or midnight most nights… And then I usually wake up at about 6:45 and I’m out the door at 10 till 8… Lunch is at 11:30 and I come back at 12:30… I don’t really take breaks, except to go to the bathroom… Most of the time, I’m answering phones, taking care of mail (or other things I’m asked to do), checking to make sure there’s fresh coffee, signing for packages and taking care of faxes… It doesn’t sound like a lot I know but that phone tends to ring once every 10 minutes or so, which doesn’t help if you’re in the middle of something.
But I got my first paycheck last Wednesday. I get paid twice a month, on a Wednesday morning by direct deposit. Whooo hooo. :0)
So I do have a work type situation going on… There’s this guy there, a couple years younger than me (25 – no biggie), hottie galore… And such a doll… And a dork at the same time… I thought when I first started working there he had a girlfriend but I’ve found out he doesn’t… I think I’ve already talked about him a bit… I can’t remember for sure… Ah well… Anyway so we’ve been emailing back and forth since last week… Sometimes if he’s got some downtime he’ll come up and visit with me… He’s still a lil under the weather (poor thing) but he went home for the weekend and we’re planning to go to the Firehouse Thursday… Yeah did I mention that I’d talked him into that? ;0) That’s still tentative, as is getting dinner cooked for me one night… He told me he wants to get me drunk and then take advantage of me… I told him I don’t have to be drunk for that… ;0) And we’ve talked about snuggling post Firehouse too…
Yeah I dig him… The whole office romance thing still makes me a bit apprehensive, but I think that if we did date or whatever, I could handle it if we broke up or something… I’m still friends with most of my exes, so working with him wouldn’t be a problem, post relationship… If we ever even had a relationship… He’s just talking about being friends… But then he tells me what a hottie I am and talks about taking advantage of me… So yeah I’m not really sure he really knows what he wants…
Anyway I’m going to bed…. Laters.
